from the Interim Board – 19th November 2024

We are fast approaching the AGM and the ushering in of a new Board to start the next journey towards the 2026 General Election.

We cannot stress enough the importance of the next two years, and we must not become complacent and wait until a few months before the next election to stand up, we need to be gaining support and have brand recognition for the Party so that our messaging and Policies resonate with the voting public across all demographics, it’s going to be hard work and we will need your support, so please keep the faith and lets win our country back. Slow and steady will win the race.

This newsletter is a lot shorter than those previously published as most of what we needed to do has been done and we now need to concentrate on two main things, Membership and the AGM.

Our key messaging remains the same, so it may feel like we are repeating ourselves a little. I apologise in advance.

As previously reported, we have secured a venue in West Auckland with a capacity for 300 attendees. Venue details are included in the ticketing process.

This is your opportunity to be at the starting line for the resurgence of the Party, to be in the room to meet the Board taking us forward and to discuss Policy and present ideas.

Securing a ticket will be on a first come first served basis. Tickets and membership registration will NOT be available at the door, so get in early. You MUST be a member for your ticket to be valid and for entry to the event.

You must be present to take part in the AGM. We will not be live streaming the AGM on this occasion.

Tickets to the AGM are free of charge, but donations at the door will be greatly appreciated to help cover costs. Venues and events like these are not cheap to run!

As aforementioned, only current members are eligible to attend the AGM.

So, we are on a drive to re-invigorate our membership base and to take the Party through to the next General Election in 2026.

Our intention has always been to reinstate the Party registration with the Electoral Commission, which requires a minimum of 500 financially paid-up members.

That starts now!

If you are unsure of your membership status, please get in touch with our Party Secretary, Lisa, via email (office@newzealandloyal.com) and we will confirm this for you, remembering also that as we do not have any of the previous administration documentation or databases, we are having to start again from scratch.

So, we need you to talk to your family, friends, and neighbours and anyone that you have contact with that would like to join the NZ Loyal Political Party so that we can build depth to our Party’s membership. This in turn will allow us to get to that magic number of 500 and to re-register with the Electoral Commission.

Note: Due to the administrative complexity of confirming membership, payment, and ticket registration, we will not be issuing tickets to the AGM to members joining after Sunday 24th November 2024.

We received several nominations for Board and Leadership positions, and we continue to undertake due diligence before announcing the final Candidates for those Board positions.

Thank you to those Nominees for putting their hand up and accepting their Nomination to represent the New Zealand Loyal Political Party on behalf of its members and supporters.

Details of the Candidates standing for the Board along with a short bio will be emailed to current Party Members as soon as they have been confirmed.

Each Candidate will be at the AGM and attendees will have the opportunity to say hello, have a conversation, and ask any questions that you may have.

Please, if you can donate, now is the time to show your support financially. The Party will not be a success without your financial support. Events like the AGM have costs attached that are substantial and we can only do this with that financial support from you, the members and supporters.

We would love to see you show that support by becoming a member of the Party, if that is not something you want to do right now, but you would like to contribute with a donation, we would be grateful for whatever you can donate.

If you are making payments, please ensure that you reference your name, and that the payment is for a donation or for membership so that we can match up the payments to membership applications. If you require a receipt for your donation for Tax purposes etc please email us or get in touch via the website with your details.

As at the time of publication of this newsletter, the Trade Mark application by the former Leadership of NZ Loyal is currently still in an “Under Examination” status by IPONZ and has yet to move to an “Accepted” status, which is when a formal objection can be lodged with IPONZ to dispute ownership, despite what some are saying.

We will continue to monitor the status of the application and when that status changes we will lodge the objection accordingly. We remain in contact with IPONZ as an interested party to the application.

Again, and as has previously been reported, there have been some further developments over the last month and several key conversations have taken place that will lead to some action being taken.

We continue to be restricted by confidentiality and privacy as to what can be disclosed at this time to ensure that we follow due process in the hope that those involved are held to account for their actions.

Membership drive and the AGM!

It has been an extremely busy few months since the SGM and the Board have put in some long hours and sacrificed a lot of family time to make this happen, so on a personal note I want to thank each of the Board members for their hard work and dedication in keeping this Party alive, despite the hate and vitriol levelled at the Board, its Members and Supporters, from some quarters.

It’s very sad to think that just a few noisy individuals think that they have the right to criticize and be abusive toward others in the way that they wish to express their choice to gain freedom from controlling power hungry tyrants, when they themselves preach for the same thing, all whilst citing love and tolerance. The irony astounds me.

Finally, thank YOU, this Party is collectively yours and it has been a privilege to have been entrusted by you and to be on this journey together. Never forget that this Party does not belong to one person, it belongs to us all.
